Of course but if there is a character that you can get close with it's Batman. He is a man who fights other men. Most real world rules apply to him and some of his criminals.

Well I mean realism in film is tough. Especially fiction.

Wow you guys really brought this thread back to life. For a second thought there was some new news about a new set. Guess not lol. Question. I know that there are different rights and studios but is it possible for them to release like an ultimate set with all these batmans and nolans together? And if it is possible do you think Nolan would say no just cause he wants to separate himself from these films.

I don't think we see that happen and you may find a lot of people will hold off since WB is currently in the process of rebooting the franchise.

I for one like having two different sets and unless they bring something new to the table beyond special features I don't think too many people would be willing to dip again for these.

Cheers!

As far as the realism thing Nolans films, if you read what he actually said, he says that his intentions were to bring Batman into a more grounded realism and that he wanted to bring these fantastical characters into our world. That doesn't necessarily translate to realistic. Nolans films are all relatively believable but realistic? Please

Its realistic in the sense that you actually get to see and understand why someone would dress up like a Bat.

While I agree not many fans would be likely to dip yet again, I don't believe there is anything that would stop WHV from releasing a Batman Ultimate Anthology that would include all the movies from 1989-2012.

The only Batman movie that Warner's doesn't own is the one from the 60s. You know, the old Adam West campfest.

That would be insane if an ultimate Batman set would be released.

I just can't see it ever being put out.

I like them separate Anthology and Trilogy. Please leave them as they are.

Sony owns the theatrical serials.

I could see Warner licensing from Sony and Fox if they wanted to do a complete live-action Batman box but ultimately I agree that they're best kept separate.

As different as the Burton and Schumacher films are there are obvious and undeniable connections (Gough/Hingle, references to Catwoman in Forever, etc.) and releasing them together makes sense. But there's practically no reason to include the Nolan films alongside them.

I am dangerously close to buckling & grabbing the $50 dollar set at WB shop. I wish Warner would hurry up & announce the rerelease we all know is coming.

You're not the only one. I visit the site everyday and just stare at it for 5 minutes.
