Got mine today. It was $75.99 brand new with free shipping on Ebay.

Best collectors set I ever owned. Its gorgeous. The instructions dont mention anything about using a specific water (ei; distilled water) so it shouldnt ruin the heads in the course of time. If not they would have specified that in the instructions.

Wow your belief in what "they" would do is quite touching!

Personally I wouldn't put anything EXCEPT distilled water in this unit.

Personally, I wouldn't put ANYTHING in the tanks. Mine sits quite nicely without any water, looks gorgeous, and people can easily handle and examine it up close without any fear of spillage.

I agree - I haven't even taken mine out of the box yet, but when I do display it I won't put any water in it either. I think it looks good without it, and even though I know it was meant to be filled with water, in time there is no way that the paint etc will survive being submerged in water for extended periods.

I have a 1979 Kenner Alien figure that is in pretty good condition, but many of those figures have had problems with the rubber surrounding the joints drying out and disintigrating over time - and that is just from age, not from being exposed to any water or other elements. Since the Walking Dead Tank is a collectible (and not exactly a cheap one either) I don't want to take any chances...

Actually by the standard of many collectibles it's a very cheap one.

Why would you even let anyone handle and examine this?

Whoever touches this set

Stupid question but... I'm attending convention that andrew lincoln (rick) will be signing autographs. Do you all think I should have him sign my aquarium or have him sign a photo? Its once in a lifetime for me so I'm just getting opinions. PS he won't sign both.

I think you'll win either way! Were it me, I'd probably go with the aquarium, just to make a very cool display piece that much better.

Which convention is that?

I can't see him being mentioned in any upcoming conventions other than the New York Comic con that's already passed.

I'd go with the aquarium.

2 questions: how do you know he won't sign both? and what is the reason he won't sign both?

He charges $40 for an autograph. I asked if I coukd have him sign 2 items and the response was, no its $40 for each signature. Apparently they all charge money for autographs at these conventions as a way to discourage people from getting 20 things signed just to sell online. I'm willing to pay since many of the cast will be there and I can meet my favorites.
