I had the same problem, you actually have to turn the 3D option off in your settings and the film will revert to 2D. Pretty odd but that's how to do it

Thanks. What a strange/annoying set-up - I've never seen a 3-D disc before that didn't have a 2D/3D toggle switch in the main menu.

Or it could have been a hoax.

Good movies though.

I've long been a fan of the original film and interested in the story. I think George was abusive and became more so to the extreme while in the house. I think he realize that if it continued, someone would end up dead and they left the house. They blamed the irrational behavior on demons, as he was really into that stuff.

I'm currently reading the original book for the first time. It's creepy and well written account, but I'm at around the halfway point with the cloven hooves and it's becoming difficult to believe it all.

There's definitely something not right. The way they easily beat the kids for example. You can easily read that any other way than demon involvement.

The Shout box is currently on it's way to me for when I've finished the book - I just need to hurry up and order a region free 3D player. Could you suggest any other books that aren't too difficult to find, including the previous DeFeo case? I'm very intrigued about reading more.

Am thinking about running over to the mall to grab the Bluray this set just for the first two films, the first one being my favourite. I could care less about the 3D film and will probably sell it.

Is my plan worth the $55???

There has been numerous accusations from various resources stating that, The Amityville Horror stories was a hoax.
