I didnt loath Total Recall remake but I was completely indifferent to it and never want to see it again really. Whereas Ill be watching the Arnie one yet again soon enough.

I agree.

The most solid sci-fi flicks I've seen in the last few years are District 9 and Moon; they were tighter, more solid experiences.

But still, nothing has outshined the likes of Blade Runner & The Matrix for me in terms of having that iconic edge; being able to think afterwards "I've just watched a classic".

The back cover lists 2 things not on the US disc, "The Two Joes" and "New Future, Old School".

I read a review at AVforums and they don't mention either of them.

After almost two weeks, my steelbook copy from TheHut.com finally arrived! God, don't use them if you want a release in a hurry! :P

This was my first blind buy in a little while (I felt this was an ideal item to use a 10% code on, got the steelbook for £13.46.), I'll probably see it tomorrow and give any thoughts I might have.

I've heard some very good things about the film from it's cinema run...and some not very good things after reading this thread. :P Is it just cause of the hype that caused some people here to be a little disappointed?

Both featurettes amounts to 8 minutes total, nothing too indepth.

Looper didn't get a Blu-Ray Disc here in Portugal. Had to buy the DVD. I will still order that slipcover edition from amazon but I just wanted to get a version with portuguese subtitles

Play.com are selling this for £11 in another sale of theirs. Considering it's as high as £17 elsewhere, pretty good deal.

Hopefully comes with that slipcover, really like the look of it.

My UK steelbook came through today at last! Cheap as chip from an eBayer for a tenner which is fab. Looking over French and American versions though, can't help but feel duped on the cover... I'm loving the lenticular magnet, might of even got it sooner had I known about it! Like the little bit extra in terms of featurettes, but it just doesn't seem as shiny...
