Default Kim Jee-woon's "InRang" (2018) Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade Live Action

new drama/action/sci-fi from director Kim Jee-woon (I Saw the Devil, A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life)
Based on the 1999 anime movie "Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade" directed by Hiroyuki Okiura and written by Mamoru Oshii.

love the original anime movie and really looking forward to this Kim Jee-woon never let me down, well, maybe except The Last Stand
too bad I heard somewhere that Netflix will handle the distribution outside Korea, so maybe I can never see it in theater

Super excited for this. Big Kim Jee-woon fan. Korea hasn’t really done a high profile futuristic sci fi film before (aside from Snowpiercer), so I’m curious to see how this turns out. It’s also a source material that can definitely be improved upon as the original anime is a fine film, but it’s no where near the anime classics.
My Top 20 Films
1. Spirited Away 2. Princess Mononoke 3. Red Cliff 4. Memories of Murder 5. Battle Royale 6. The Dark Knight 7. Beauty and the Beast (1991) 8. Jurassic Park 9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) 10. Seven Samurai 11. Finding Nemo 12. Vertigo 13. Inception 14. Casablanca 15. My Neighbor Totoro 16. The Lion King 17. A Bittersweet Life 18. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King 19. I think it is.

It's also not the first time the Kerberos Panzer Cops show up in a live action movie. Mamoru Oshii already did that in The Red Spectacles (1987)
and StrayDog: Kerberos Panzer Cops (1991), which is a prequel to the first movie.
Top 10: [1] Blade Runner 1982 [2] Aliens 1986 [3] The Thing 1982 [4] The Shining 1980 [5] Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 1998 [6] My Neighbor Totoro 1988 [7] Monty Python and The Holy Grail 1975 [8] Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn 1987 [9] Stalker 1979 [10] In The Mouth of Madness 1994

The Kerberos franchise plus Kim Jee-woon should be a winner.
Love the anime film (and was delighted to pick up the original Japanese blu long after it came out) and thought the Oshii films were ok (best bits were whenever the troops were on screen).
Hope this film is decent.

****ing damn right it is!

I really don't think this will improve on the original, but it could still be a pretty cool film.
