Pfff.... I don't get why the diamonds should be Disney's advertising scapegoat for its parks.

I'm sure, they'll include the most content from the Platinum Edition as well.

An 18 minute featurette about Animal Kingdom? Sounds good to me!

Why is Disney reusing Peter Pan's 9 Old Men Featurette??? granted it would've worked better with Jungle Book's Diamond

I'm quite curious to see how Bill Peet (who wrote the Orignal screenplay) ended His Jungle Book before Walt lightend the story up.

If I recall there were 2 endings from Jungle Book and The 2nd Jungle Book (both written by Kipling), Mowlgi grew up/married/had a family and then The 2nd Jungle Book (which took place in/around the 1st book) ended with Mowgli spotting a village woman (I think) correct me if I'm wrong

Also I agree with Scamander, we'll get the Platinum's Backstage bonuses transfered too, though I hope they skip the Disney Intermission and upgrade the audio commentary to CinExplore (visual/audio commentary) or do a Inside Walt's Story Meetings (which Peter Pan's Diamond could've used)

That's only for the European Diamond Edition, I suppose. Peter Pan was released last year in Europe as standard edition and without any new bonus content. I'm curious, if there will be additional content on the US-BD of 'The Jungle Book' as well, since Europe gets it ~6 months earlier again.

It would have been rated, if they'd include a PiP-commentary. Of course it could be an US-exclusive again, though I doubt we'll see any time soon another Cine Explore from Disney. With Second Screen they pretty much abandoned this feature. The only exception is "Finding Nemo", though this was announced for a blu-ray release back in 2008 (?) and I wouldn't be surprised, if the bonus content was already done, when they decided to postpone it.

I was hoping for a much more epic trailer
there is an announcer
no epic music like the rest of the Diamond Edition trailers
Why?

Because the demographic target audience are children in Germany, not "everyone". To sum it up.

Peter Pan was not a Diamond overseas - so they did not get the Nine Old Men documentary. It was popular, so it's being added to The Jungle Book Diamond.

THAT Answers my Question XD

We will probably get a little in memoriam thing for Walt Disney, learn about his personal life, since this was the last animated film he ever worked on
