Some nasty surround wiring procedure tonight, but with the right method, cutting the foam sheet wasn't necessary.

Hooking it all up to the new box.

Refit the original Canton grille on surrounds, passed cable and completed.

I might try for a moment restoring the R-45HDs as surrounds, since the foam changes sound dramatically they might sound even better than before (that was already excellent )

Results.

DIY Canton Plus X very bright surround, effects more directional on music, but some phase disturbance. Worked wonders with an untreated wall paired with the Solids.

Monitor Audio R-45HD less directional effects, less brightness (expected: I had +3dB high boost on the PX) and slightly less "surrounding" effect but a way more natural ambience with reduced phase disturbances. In my current configuration the rear-firing tweeter works wonderfully. Work good with Solids as SBs but I'll have to exhange these since they look outta place compared to the smallish cubes R-45HD.

Seems I'll have to fire up tools and build a smaller wallstand for the Radius... PS: they also make a more sober and less obtrusive appearance compared to big speakers.

Tonight completed cabling of Canton and MA speakers, but I'm afraid I'll have to replace some passages since the glue seems not to keep on...
Now on to other finishing

Almost done on surrounds as well.

Today used some of the remaining foam. Down to floor behind SW2 and bedstand

And right under it above SW2

Now have to tidy up a little this messy room
