Am I the only one who prefers watching the 3d disc in 2d as opposed to watching the 2d disc? The 2d disc colors look over saturated and detail seems to be lost in a lot of scenes.

Good to hear that Paramount has begun to use the UHD format. The great majority of their recent releases have been top-notch in quality so far, so hopefully their UHD discs will follow a similar trend. Maybe other good titles like Interstellar will (soon) be released in that format as well.

The UHD of Into Darkness will include the IMAX scenes as well. And apparently between them will each have all of the special features of the BDs.

There's a UHD section of the forum guys, no real need to bump this thread with UHD news. Also they have the special features because they include the normal BDs.

The UHD release has the IMAX version on blu-ray and UHD.

And Canada got the compendium on Blu-ray with the IMAX version.

Anamorphic lens.
If he chooses not to film with anamorphic lens, then he will most probably shoot in Super 35. And much less lens flare.
