I seem to recall them being different. They're both outtakes so obviously they're very similar, but the 'Treasures from the Cutting Room Floor' is a different set of outtakes. Nearly an hour's worth.
Why? Why are the innocent punished? Why the sacrifice? Why the pain? There aren't any promises. Nothing certain. Only that some get called, some get saved.

I watched the Anchor Bay Blu-ray and wood and textures are extremely high detailed for 16mm, even better than some grainy 35mm 80s films on Blu-ray.
I'm almost 100% certain it's 2K.

I think you are right but it's really hard to believe. The film looks amazing in motion, I doubt it will ever look better.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 2k looked worse than the 4k restoration, The Evil Dead looks more like the 4k remaster of TCM.

It's been unavailable for quite a while now. That said, you can get 100% of the extras from that extra DVD bonus disc in the 3-DVD "Ultimate Edition" release from 2007.

These days it's honestly quite a bit easier (and likely less expensive) to get the standard single-BD release and the Ultimate Edition DVD set together than to get the Best Buy exclusive by itself on the secondary market.
Forget The Evil Dead; what George Lucas has done to Star Wars since 1997 is truly "The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror".

2016 marks the film's 35th anniversary. I wonder if we might see a new release? I hate to have to make my own "Special Edition" by buying different releases, so I think I'll wait a bit to see if there might be a new Blu-ray sometime this year. Besides, I still have my "Book of the Dead" DVD edition to hold me over.

If Starz/Anchor Bay will be handling the Bluray/DVD release of Ash Vs. Evil Dead, looks like they would also do something for the Anniversary of the first Evil Dead.

I actually like to see that happen. 4K remaster (I doubt it. Not because of Anchor Bay, who I still support, but because can the film look any better?) both wide and original full screen versions (untweaked and unaltered!) on their own discs with lots of extras.

D'oh! I completely forgot about the region-free UK release. It has on its single disc all the extras that the Best Buy exclusive had, but at the cost of removing the original 4:3 AR encode of the film from the BD.

So if you want the bonus features without having to get a separate DVD release and are OK with the re-framed 1:85:1 encode, then the UK release is the option that would fit your needs best. It only costs ~$14 shipped to import it from Amazon UK, which is a rather reasonable price.

Forget The Evil Dead; what George Lucas has done to Star Wars since 1997 is truly "The Ultimate Experience in Grueling Terror".

To be honest I am a high quality fetishist and I usually cringe at bad processed 2k scans but this one looks amazing. I really thought it's 4k first.
I don't need a new release, I don't think the 16mm can look that much better. Maybe it can but it already looks stunning, almost like 35mm. Great details, great colors, great contrast, very good grain structure.

Check out this capture, simply stunning quality for a low budget 16mm film:
