WOW! The Hole in 3D is STUNNING! I went cross eyed the moment the movie started. I turned off those dreadful Dutch subtitles. This movie is MEANT to be seen in 3D. Love it!

Got a Hole in my package!

Watching it now, there's some pretty crazy framing. I agree with nycomet, I'm practically going cross-eyed and that's just from exposition talking scenes. Dante really made sure to layer foreground and background objects in every scene and at varying depths. When you watch them unpacking the moving van in an early scene, there's the characters up front, a lamp post a little farther back and off to the side, even farther back trees and houses. When paused, the separation on each of these layers is crazy.

I remember watching a awhile ago in 2D and thinking it was just a meh movie, definitely appreciating it more now in 3D. You can easily tell it was meant to be seen this way.

Thanks, everybody, for the recommendation of http://www.cdendvd.com/ as the place to purchase the 3D version of The Hole. Ordered it yesterday and it shipped today to the U.S. for just under twenty bucks including shipping.

I had this title over a year ago when I didn't have the Oppo 103 region mod. I sold the movie and got the Oppo later on. Now I wish I had kept it. If the 3D is that good maybe I'll repurchase. I saw the film in 2D but can't remember if the movie is any good even though I remember it was not terrible. Let's hear some opinions on the movie also.

Somebody should compile a list of decent horror films in 3D.The genre is very rare in 3D.I would like to own the "hidden titles" out there in 3D.

The Hole is may favorite 3D BD of 2014 (that's when I got my copy). Get it if its in your budget. My 3D turd launcher is on fire because there wasn't a USA release of this excellent movie. 3D Joe Dante blew me away with his Hole. Thank goodness for the Dutch region-free 3D BD.
