trilogy pS3 issue - Blu-ray Forum

does anybody know if there star wars trilogy does not play on their PS3?? i just saved enough money to buy the set and inserted new hope movie and my PS3 is not able to play it. error 80029940??

I think that's a network error. Turn off any BD Live settings and/or make sure your network is setup correctly. Also make sure the disc is completely clean as I heard that could trigger the error too

i try to turn off internet for BD live and still didnt work?

I edited to add that you should make sure there aren't any fingerprints or anything on it. Did you try any other movies? It could be a sign that your drive is failing

yeah it was dirty?? i just bought the box set brad spanking new. Wow i just cleaned it out and it started playing thanks for the help brother.
