Default Question about Walmart WB triple packs...

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, but I've been trying to find out this question: do the triple packs from Walmart have the special features from the individual releases of each movie, specifically, from the Butch-Sundance/GoodBadUgly/Magnificent 7 and Commando/Predator/Terminator (1) packs? I bought these but I don't want to open them so I can return them if they don't. Thanks.

They should as they were all single disc releases in the first place. Warner doesn't usually do separate pressings of the same title so you should be okay to get the triple pack.

I'd assume so since it's three actual discs, rather than just three films put on one disc.

You should look at the product pages here at Blu-ray.com for this information.

He's asking about Fox/MGM titles.

BRG is correct. To save on costs, Warners will usually strip bonus features and the like in order to squeeze more video/movie content on a single disk. I don't like this way of "bundling" because I feel it sacrifices on the PQ, not to mention that you have an idea that Warners had to compress the video to squeeze all of those movies onto that disk.

ummm, no they don't actually. Warner hasn't put out a triple/double feature that did that, they just stack whatever discs they've previously made into a 2 or 3 disc case. same with MGM

Ah! I thought it was similar to how Mill Creek does their multi-Blu-ray movie packs like The Prophecy.

Well, both of those companies have a habit of condensing too much video crap on their disks. lols At any rate, at least it's nice to know that Warners doesn't do that.

Warner's Kubrick pack seems to have all the extras. I'm in the same boat as the OP on the Goonies/Gremlins triple pack.
I'm also tempted by the Butch Cassidy set.

Samsung 65JS850D UHDTV | Oppo 93 Blu-Ray Player | Pioneer SC-65 Receiver
PSB Imagine T-2, C Center & Image S5 Surround | BIC America V1220 Subwoofer
Mac mini (2012) iTunes Server | Arcam rDAC | Seagate 4 TB External Drive
TV 3 | iPad 4 | Logitech Harmony Remote 700

Well, I opened them and checked; they do have all of their special features that were included (Commando has no special features to begin with).

All of the Warner triple packs are identical to the standalone releases, barring where the standalone is 2 or more discs, e.g. Watchmen DC. The V for Vendetta/Watchmen/Constantine triple pack has only the main feature disc with commentary/PiP for Watchmen, not the 2nd BD of extras or digital copy.

While I don't own the Fox/MGM triple packs, I'm fairly certain they are the same as the individual discs given the number of times these films have been rereleased and repackaged with the same discs.

As for the Warner triple packs, I was surprised that The Hangover/The Hangover Part II/Due Date featured the discs of The Hangover Part II and Due Date from the combo packs instead of the stripped down movie-only versions (actually not sure if Due Date's single disc release was stripped of extras).

Thank you for the info on the The Hangover/The Hangover Part II/Due Date set. I've been wondering if it had the movie only versions or the special features. Now I need to decide if I really want to buy it. Haven't seen either Hangover and Due Date wasn't anything special.

Yes, they do. The product pages list the number of discs these multi-packs have. If each movie is on its own disc, most likely, it's the same disc as the stand-alone version.
