I'm usually not anal over slipcovers but the one for 'Rescue 3D' is really really cool - it's lenticular and quite striking.

That's not true about Mummies--this press release says "In the very popular Egyptian genre of films, Mummies is the first to be filmed using 3D technology. In general I think pretty much all 3D documentaries are actually filmed that way, at least I don't know any exceptions and I doubt the audience is large enough to make it worth the money to convert a documentary.

It's a beautiful film that merges strong 3D imagery and storytelling. Highly recommended!
Where is it playing at? It sounds like something I'd like to see.

There are quite a few that haven't been released. They should do a two or three features on a disc thing with some or all of those. I'm kinda tired of the under water IMAX stuff. There is a glut of them.

It was photographed originally in 2D with the 3D conversion planned from the outset:

Am watching Sir David Attenboroughs Galapogos 3d on sky 3d in the uk. The team behind his recent documentaries have really got a handle on how to do some amazing 3d. This will be a purchase on 3d blu for me. No details of a release date yet but the 3rd of 3 is yet to air.

We are very lucky over this side of the pond to have Sir David. Its one of the reasons i bought a 3d tv to watch these amazing documentaries. Some of the macro 3d shots are just incredible!!
