Indeed they are. If you want a nice fit from a SteelbookCentral sleeve then you'll have to wait until the SCF3 comes out in a few months.

For BF up and MU Lenticular I use SCF1 and they fit perfectly, same goes for Reaaal Steel and Face / Off BF.

Good to know. I was just passing on what i was told about the SCF2. I'm about to order, but thinking now i should wait for the SCF3.

But the SCF1 fit the Mondo steels nicely. It also fits most of the Kimchi & Nova lenticulars. Fits Blufans: Real Steel, Rio, both wreck it ralphs, Face-off, OZ lenticular, both UP & monster university, & 1/4 slips from the recent marvel wave.

I imagine the same will work with the Star Trek Tripak.

i ordered a pack of 10 from retro... i will see if those work for the blufans and mondo, if not then i will pick up some SFC1s, the retro were about $10 cheaper so giving them a try first...
also hoping my Nova Dark Knight Rises FullSlip fits in one of these as well, cuz that as well is too loose in the SCF2s...

my Blufans IronMan, Nova John Wick & Avengers, and FilmArena The Equalizer and Heat fit the SCF2s perfectly... so my incoming Blufans Marvel lentis will be fine in those...

i use steelshells for my steels, wish they something for these lentis and fullslips... all these different sheels and slips i need to keep now is driving me crazy...

Does anyone know if you can get already made cotton type steelbook sleeves please.

Or is it old Tee-shirts and needle and thread time here. ?

Thanks SN

I don't know where I found it but I recently found a post about steelbooks rusting??

This has got me shitting bricks! I only have about ten but I love quite a few of them and am wondering if I'm better selling them and getting the amaray releases.

Somebody please put my mind at rest that this is very, very, very rare and unlikely!

Apparently a build up of moisture, bit at a time. Made worse with humidity, protective sleeves...

Hi I am thinking of buying cheap cotton flannels 30x30. 1 wash, a few extra rinses. Tumble dry to help get any left chlorine or bleach out/ gassed off.

Folding them in half and cutting one end off and sewing that up so a sleeve about 15cm a 20-22cm for the steelbook to go in to with the title edge showing. To either lay down in drawer or on a shelf.

I just got a steelbook from ebay and the seller kindly popped in a rigid plastic sleeve.

I wonder if these are mylar, less acidy etc.

I would guess anything in cellothane and similar type covers would engender moisture build up.

I wouldn`t worry about rust too much, it will happen but should be ok up to 5-10 years if looked after.

I`m waiting for a reply from Scanavo RE is there a possibilty to make them more long term/ lasting etc.

Best SN.

PS as mentioned elsewhere why have limited editions, make them all a bit cheaper and open ended production wise, and in 10 years if one goes down, get another for a fair enough price..

Are you talking about open copies in all these instances? All my Film Arena Collection SBs are in Polybags and were way to big for SCF2's. The new Blufans OAB's fit just snug enough, anything larger sealed does not fit for me. I remember someone saying they fit Blufans CA 1 and 2 , Novamedia Avengers Lenti and Full Slip all sealed with SCF2's and even had pictures, I'm still lost how this was done without forcing them in and the Lenti's are to tall.

Why would it matter if something is loose fitting? I would rather have it loose in a case than in a Polybag? If your only moving them very little why would it matter? If I am putting a SB in a SCF1 or 2 I'm not taking it out again unless it is sold or traded. Is there something bad that happens if you put a loose sealed SB in a SCF 1 or 2 case, I'm just starting to case up anything sealed that I'm going to leave alone so if there is something wrong with loose fitting SBs please let me know.
Thanks.

I have to admit, I checked my 'The Company of Wolves' DVD steelbook that I've had about 12 years and it looks as good as the day I bought it..

i just dont like having my steels loose in their slips... personal thing... haha...

i got some slips from RetroProtection today and did some test fitting...

Retro fits: Mondo steels with slip, and my older Blufans lentis... Monsters University, Up and Wreck-It Ralph

NovaMedia Dark Knight Rises FullSlip and Blufans Wall-E Lenti do not fit...
Blufans Frozen Olaf barely does not fit...

i bought some SCF1s tonight for those steels...

SCF2 fits: Blufans IronMan, NovaMedia John Wick Fullslip, NovaMedia Avengers FullSlip C fits just fine as well, and my FilmArena The Equalizer and Heat both fit just fine as well...

my Blufans Godfather Collection barely does not fit the jumbo steelshell from blu-steels... so now on the hunt for something to protect that...

got my SCF1s in the other day... and looks like i need some SCF3s...

the SCF1s fit Blufans Face/Off, Monsters University, Up, and Wreck-It Ralph but quite snug... will probably put these in the SCF3s or the ones from RetroProtection... Kimchidvd Lenti Monsters, Inc was also a snug fit... so the SCF1s for me were a bust...
so if anyone wants 10 SCF1s, let me know... haha...

Novamedia Dark Knights Rises Fullslip, Blufans Frozen Olaf, and Blufans Wall-E Lenti Slip, heres hoping they fit in the SCF3s because they do not fit SCF1s or the ones from RetroProtection...
