I received a UV code for the Unrated version which I heard from a friend can apparently be used to redeem both the theatrical AND Unrated versions of the film. Unfortunately, they don't remember how to do this and I can't seem to figure it out. Anyone know?

If not, does anyone have a preference....Unrated or Theatrical? I am assuming Unrated??
Digital Code Wishlist:

UV: '9', Anna Karenina, Banshee S1, Basic Instinct, Batman: Assault on Arkham, Batman-Bad Blood, Blues Bros, Carrie (both), The Crow, The Doors, Game of Thrones S5, old Godzilla movies, JL: Throne of Atlantis, Lethal Weapon Collctn, Mimic, Rambo 2, The Sopranos, Spawn, Spring, Strange Magic, Theory of Ev, Walking Dead S1,2,3

DMR/DC+: Cars 1, Ichabod & Mr. Toad, Lady & the Tramp, Muppet Xmas Carol, Peter Pan 2, Snow White, Tigger Movie, Toy Story that Time Forgot

The BD is set up to play automatically in an English dub

I hate dubbed tracks

Theatrical = compromised version for US R rating.
Unrated = director's original intended version (in this case).

A 'concerned parent' might get the R version to show kids during a sleep-over, otherwise get the version the director wanted everyone to see.

I've only ever seen it with the Shinoda score (Uk release doesn't have the original option )but it gets me suitably hyped each time I have seen it so I suggest that one, then make sure you watch the second film too

Either one you choose, just enjoy it

I saw the second film at the cinema for my anniversary and it was without a doubt the best film I have ever seen on the big screen in terms of an experience.

It was a small intimate cinema room, all the guys there clearly convinced their other half's to go with them and the reactions to some of the scenes just elevated the movie in every possible way.

The couple next to me winced at the same points my missus did - I cant rate the film highly enough.

If you enjoyed the first one I hope you do the second too.

There is barely any difference between the R and Unrated versions of this film. So it almost doesn't matter which version you see first. So the 'concerned' parent bit is hilarious, since the film is extremely brutal, that the two cuts in the R version don't diminish the nastiness of the violence.

unfortunately I didn't like the second one as much as the first

it's a well made movie, much better (not even comparable) production values, but still Redemption was more fun

I can appreciate that, most people think the same from what I gather

I think the fact its alot longer and tries to fit a plot in works against it for most people, the fun of the first film is its simplicity and bloody execution

In my case the experience at the cinema really elevated the movie so I hold it on par if not slightly above the first film - that fight in the kitchen
