What I am looking for is a Hollywood movie from the 60s (maybe even late 50s). Its a historical movie. Setting is the anglo-spanish war or at least the time period around it. I remember ships or naval conflict (sea blockade?) playing a role as well as spanish royalty. Story wise I dont remember much unfortunately. I recollect some sort of ambush during the night and a romantic plotline. I know not much. I already looked into movies set during this time, but I couldnt find the one I am looking for. There can't be that many can there?
Frankly, my dear...

Should add they are teenagers/grown men to be honest. Not kids/children type.
It's possible this is the hilarious 2007 film Kickin' it Old-Skool. It's about a kid in the '80's who tries to break dance in a competition; he accidentally hits his head, and is in a coma for 20 years. He wakes up in the 200x's, and has to re-learn break dancing so he can re-enter a competition and reedeem himself. Very funny film, and especially nostalgic to those of us who grew up in the '80's...

This sounds familiar but dude, I just looked through my entire Netflix history - almost 10 years - and nothing struck a bell. So now I want to know, too!

It sounds a lot like Sorority Row, suggested by kpkelley, although it is a guy being pranked. The death scene is at 1 min in the trailer:

Yes, I believe it's Sorority Row as well; good horror flick, and Carrie Fisher has a cameo as the den mother of the Sorority - which I found unintentionally hilarious

I have posted this query elsewhere in vain but I hope that someone can help.

I saw an "Arabian Nights" type costume drama as a kid in the early 60s. The film was in colour and almost certainly one of the many Euro (probably Italian) films made for the Anglo-American market at the time. The only two scenes that I recall are that early in the film, the future hero - now still a kid of about 10 - is in danger of being killed, probably because he is a prince and an heir. He escapes hidden in a basket and as he is taken out, the enemy soldiers check each basket by poking swords through them. They do the same for the one the boy is hidden but nothing appears to happen; but we see as the basket is carried away that blood is seeping though the mesh. And when they reach safety and the basket is opened, we see that the boy is injured badly in his arm and faints.

In the other scene later in the film, the same boy is now a strong young man. He returns to the palace as a commoner and enters a wresting tournament. In it he challenges and beats the local champion. I recall that in this wresting scene, both men were wearing knee-length pants, the local champ in red and the hero in black.

That is all I recall. The hero was not a big guy like Steve Reeves but more medium built.

Well, jeez, the trailer looks familiar and certainly fits his description:
[Show spoiler]"There was a bunch of college kids/friends where they play a prank on one of them making her think that she killed one of the other girls and taking the body (she is alive) to dump it somewhere. At the place where they are going to dump the body the girl being pranked takes a big stone and bashes on the head of the girl pretending to be dead and so killing her for real. But I was thinking the title was one word that started with "I", like Intervention or Intention and it was a high school guy. I remember a nice house (in the woods?) and that old trope of a bird smashing into the window. Did he keep it? It may be a non-horror indie film that I had on a FIND (Film Independent) screener DVD...

Default monster film?

Ok guys this is going to be long shot. Recently i remembered bits of a film i saw as a kid and have been trying to find out what film it was from. I remember only tiny details.....

* Unsure if pure monster film or scifi with horror elements.
* Scene towards end of film is at night on a beach
* Somthing makes me think a kid is main lead, maybe he looking for his parents who have been taken? Really fuzzy on this.
* again not sure if all the film is like this but people may get pulled under ground by monster/things from the beach.
* There is a cave , lair under the beach.

Im really fuzzy on all the above. Google keeps saying Blood beach but thats not it.

I was going to say Blood Beach until I saw your last sentence. You can also try Invaders From Mars (1986). You can see people getting sucked under the sand (not a beach per se) at 50 seconds into the trailer. There's also a version from 1953.

Default "Apple Bite" cut away horror film

I saw on another "what was that film" type of site a question posted and it triggered a memory and nearly an answer but I can't think of it so here goes:

There is a horror film, probably 60's or 70s where a woman in the dark sees a killer (maybe a vampire?) and a close up occurs of her getting bitten/killed goes to an immediate cut away of another woman biting into an apple. The woman eating the apple then has a brief conversation with someone on a park bench and I think the film ends shortly thereafter. Only clues I have are it may be Central Park if the apple had something to do with NY like the Big Apple. Seems from foggy memory to look low budget and maybe foreign (possibly Italian)?

I know it's not much to go on, and if someone gets it it will be probably from being a super fan of the film. This would be great to know, thanks!

Default Car splits in two (width-wise)

Ok, I have to stop reading those other sites.. another "Oh yeah, what WAS that film??" Likely a comedy, there was a chase scene in a pre-80s film where some strange road 4 way crossing could elevate and turn and a car got chopped in half, width-wise, right behind the passenger and driver's seat. The men in the half car kept driving after that.

Dang this sounds so familiar but can't come up with it. Thinking Grand Theft Auto or The blues Brothers(not so much Blues Brothers). Know this isnt it but they did the half car stunt in The Green Hornet too.

It was a post-apocalyptic movie of sorts, and I remember that it was about a group of survivors. There were mutants of some kind in the movie, I remember one line by one of the characters occurred when the character was on a ship before the apocalyptic event, and he saw classified information and animals that had been mutated and said something like, "They didn't allow us to take pictures, but they said nothing about drawings." And he showed the group the mutated beings that he saw. Also, I remember that two of the survivors were brothers, and that one of the brothers was somehow being mutated slowly and you could see the effects, and the other brother said something along the lines of "My brother is the fifth stage of the mutants."

I know this is not a whole to go on and I have probably butchered whatever I did actually remember but I would appreciate some help finally figuring out the name of this movie!
Giving this a bump, I know it's not much to go on but I've been trying to figure out this movie title for years.

Hmm, was it a Pink Panther film or a Disney Benji or Herbie film? I think it was some Mary Poppins type of family comedy in a mad mad world theme? Feel like I'm getting closer. I'd be curious on the Bond film aspect too.
