Ah, fair enough. It is taking a longer time than, say, Arrietty and Ponyo took (both of which were six months apart from Japanese to UK releases, as you say). But it's only because of the cinema release. Just seems to have taken its time coming to the UK at all but, as Arrietty did fairly well here in the late-summer timeslot, I guess the distributors were hoping to emulate that.

I share your eagerness though - I can't wait to see it

Looks like Poppy Hill theatrical release is August 2nd. Meaning we will probably get the BD release in late 2013/early 2014.

Just in case you haven't seen it, here is my almost up to date collection (minus the artbooks):

SIN has 160+ Asian films on Blu-ray.

I got it for my B-day (12/27)/Christmas, and it's beautiful. It is pretty huge, and It's a steal at the price it's going for too (~$35US), it could easily sell for double that amount and still be worth it.

I need to get a new book shelf to put it on lol, but I think it'll pair up nicely on the shelf with this Usagi Yojimbo deluxe edition I have too.

(not my pic)

The Nausicaa and Yojimbo sets are both lovely.

Although I've got plenty of Ghibli on DVD I've never gotten around to upgrading any of them. Yet.

I think, in a few months time when I have the £££s rolling in from my next contract, I may splurge out on getting them all!

Just ordered the Nausicaä box after looking at those great pictures. I had no idea that Viz had released a Deluxe Edition.
