Does anybody know why Funimation never pursued the releases of Dragon Ball Z (not Kai) on Bluray? The Level 1.1, 1.2, and so on.

Probably too expensive, if I remember correctly. Dragon Ball Z is a long series and blowing a lot of money on restoring the 16mm film negatives probably didn't prove to be cost-effective to FUNimation.

They said they were going to reevaluate the restoration process and find a more cost efficient way of restoring it. The releases were only meant to be suspended temporarily but that was 18 months ago now and we haven't heard a word about it since. I hope we don't have to wait too much longer though. I would like to continue buying this series before I forget what happened in Level 1.2.

but nooooooooooooooo....
Well From Up On Poppy Hill and Grave of the Fireflies were not released by Disney. So it would be weird to have a sale with Totoro and Poppy Hill because of that. But I suppose there could be 1 with Totoro and 1 of the older Disney Ghibli releases.

Well it's pretty obvious what happens in 1.2. That would be the whole fight with Vegeta and Nappa against the Z Fighters.

But you know, Funimation might be secretly working on it. Afterall, 291 episodes is a lot and will take a lot of time even if they do find a cheaper way of doing it.

Surprised Golgo 13 is on BD. Also surprised it's a complete collection, considering it's 50 episodes.
