Can anyone tell me how they dealt with this digital copy? How do I get it so that it will play on any machine, not just an apple device?

I just bought this for 11.26 from Amazon. No slipcover BTW.

It's either iTunes or Windows Media in SD via the digital copy disc (which means it's virtually a iTunes digital copy, as Windows Media licenses are not transferable to another computer, unlike iTunes and it's flexible computer transfer rules).

Because it's a pre June 2013 Touchstone release, it falls into a grey area. It is not UV compatible, as Disney and it's labels do not participate in UV.

Because Touchstone is maintained separately from other Disney labels, adding it to your iTunes account does not make it eligible for Disney Movies Anywhere (Disney's digital locker service, which supports only Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm releases, but not Touchstone). And DigitalCopyPlus (Disney's replacement of the digital copy discs) only works with Touchstone titles released after June 2013.

Therefore, if you have zero Apple devices, your only way to enjoy your digital copy is redeeming it thru iTunes and watching it on your PC.

Sadly, Touchstone is the red headed stepchild of the Walt Disney Studios, as virtually all of its output is Dreamworks productions that Disney has no ownership in other than distribution.
