Is there any difference in the Sony BDPBX59 and the S-590? - Blu-ray Forum

I ordered one from Amazon for be room....loved it at $98

Then saw what appears to be the EXACT same thing at Sam's for $88. Bought it for the kids room.

Box is identical (SAMs included a hdmi cable). Apps are identical. Functionality is identical. The remotes are the same model number.

Both work great, no issues with the apps or anything.

What am I missing?

Pretty sure they're identical. Just different model number (and the included HDMI cable) for the Sams Club package.

I think Costco has it's own model number too (and also includes an HDMI cable).

I actually bought mine at costco and it was called BDP-BX59.
