Default Need advice. Upgrading to 3D, have Panasonic SC-BT300

I really need some advice on doing this the least expensive way possible. I currently have a non-3D all-in-1 home theater system, the Panasonic SC-BT300, and would like to be able to re-use the speakers that came with it in a new 3D setup. Link to the Panasonic SC-BT300. I am looking for a player that is 3D compatible, decodes HD audio, has a built in amplifier for speakers (so I don't need to buy a separate receiver), and that has 5.1 or 7.1 speaker outputs so I can use my old speakers from the Panasonic SC-BT300 -- I don't mind cutting off the 'proprietary' color coded connections that allowed for easy connect/disconnect of the speaker wires to the Panasonic SC-BT300. If this is something that's not possible, what would be my best -- low cost -- options for having a 3D Blu-ray player with surround sound? All input is appreciated -- if I left some important detail out please let me know. Thanks to all in advance.

Not a typical setup that I would recommend. Note that panasonic seems to have several such setups that have 3d, that I assume are similar to the one you have. But its not clear if you can get the pieces seperately to use them with you current equipment.
SC-BTT190,Btt195, and Btt490

I think the SC-BTT490 looks closest. Have you tried contacting Panasonic to see if their is a model number to just replace the player/receiver component.

No I have not, but I might. If I were to go a different route and just get a 3D capable Blu-ray player and a 3D capable receiver, what would my best choices be so that I can keep my costs down -- I would like to re-use my speakers in this type of set-up? Again, I don't mind cutting off the 'proprietary' ends that connect to the SC-BT300 so that I can connect them to the receiver. Thanks for the feedback Tns49.

I'm starting to look at some of the, as they call them, entry-level Onkyo receivers. These are just two that I have stumbled across, that are 3D Ready, while looking at Fry's web-site -- I'm sure there are others elsewhere and perhaps for less. The Onkyo TX-SR309 and the Onkyo TX-SR313. I've always heard good things about Onkyo in general, but not sure if that's across the board for all of their receivers or not.

Found a refurbished Onkyo HT-RC360 for $271.42 shipped ($247.77 + $23.65 shipping) on a site called Accessories4Less -- apparently others here on Blu-ray.com have ordered from them before. Link to the item on Accessories4Less site. Link to the same item on Fry's Web-site. Things I need from the receiver: Must be 3D Ready, must be able to power my existing surround sound speakers (don't need lots of power since I don't blast them), ethernet port preferred, and must have at least 5.1 surround. If there's something less expensive that has what I'm looking for -- doesn't matter if it's Onkyo -- please direct me to it. Thanks.

As far as 3D Blu-ray players go, I'm thinking of getting either the Sony BDP-S590 or the Panasonic DMP-BDT220. Both are currently $114.99 shipped on Amazon. Are either of these choices better or worse than the other? What would you get if these were your two choices?

I can only chime in on the bdt220 - I just picked this up as a 2nd player in my house and its a solid player - never ran into any issues with being unable to play any discs. I dont use the web apps at all. ive owned the bdt210 for over a year and same results, solid player with zero issues.
