insignia ns-brdvd (what region?) - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,

I want to know what DVD region I can read with my insignia ns-brdvd.
I want to buy a dvd, but it's only available in Europe (region 2) and I'm in canada (region 1) and want to know if I can read the dvd.

9113 doesn't work on my bluray player... I found nothing on the Internet about what country is compatible with my blu-ray player.

Hi,

In the FAQ on Insignia website it's say :

This player supports Blu-ray region code A and DVD region codes 1 and All.

I don't really understand the Code 1 and All.

I think "All" just means that it'll play any "All Region" or region free encoded discs, in addition to Region 1. I'm sorry, but it looks like it wont be able to play Region 2 discs. If you have a DVD drive on your computer you do have the ability with most software programs to change the region a set number of times (which often can be reset, or modified to make it unlimited).

ok, do you know wich software on my laptop I can use to change the region code. I search a bit, and it's just some DVD Ripper, but I want something that I stay with the original DVD, but can play on my bluray player as
region 1.
The movie I want is Legend of the Seeker and I want it in french, but it's just in Europe. In America, it's only available in english
