Just had a chance to watch about 1/2 hour of this and so far it's not to bad.... The 3D is really good with great depth.... The picture quality looks nice and vibrant on the Epson 3020 with no ghosting to speak of yet...

Watching this now, good 3D but the movie is kind of lame. Some good gore though lol.

Rewatched this yesterday. I still really enjoy this movie and it's definitely one of my favourite slashers from the last few years. The 3D looked great as always. Did anyone manage to explain those starnge red patches that appear from time to time in the corners of the screen? Is it an artistic choice or some kind of screw up? If it's an artistic choice, i kind of like it! If it's a screw up, i guess i don't lol.

And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home."

Does the US version also contain the "unrated cut" which is on the French Integrale 3D edition?

Thanks, so just to get this straight:
The 3D US Version only contains the R-Rated cut, whereas the French 3D Version contains the Unrated cut (worldwide exclusive?)?

Yes, the French 3D disc is unrated (and most likely region B locked since it's a Metropolitan release).

Even though I always prefer my movies in the most complete uncut and uncensored form, in this case I did not replace my expensive US import (I'm from Europe myself) with the French one.

This movie is awesome, and the last time I watched it i jumped a couple times when Leatherface comes out of the shadows and grabs a victim. I remember it being pretty brutal. I want to watch the movies again when Leatherface comes out . I really enjoyed the remake and the remakes prequel.

Texas Chainsaw 3D is more of a guilty pleasure for me. It's enjoyable albeit in a weird kind of way. It doesn't really suit with the remake and prequel IMO, both which I think are great and very brutal. I did get the French unrated release (also by Metropolitan) for the prequel, was definitely worth it.

I think its a bit different for sure but i loved how it ended. I thought it was neat. And the violence was pretty crazy at times.

I need to look into french movies i guess. I hate having cut versions of movies.

No, I said I was pretty sure the French Texas Chainsaw 3D would be region B locked. The French unrated TCM The Beginning is by the same distributor, and I know for a fact that one is region B since I own it.
