Alright, I have ruled out the Asus PB278Q as I really want 120Hz. So sticking with the BenQ XL2720T and now comparing it to the Asus VG278H, both look very appealing and both are probably fantastic. I would love to be able to see these things in action before picking one, but I have no store that sells these things locally to see them before I buy one. Again both are probably great I just dont know which 1 I want more. the Asus comes with glasses and has built in speakers and a higher contrast ratio, but the BenQ I believe is designed for gaming??

As always thanks again, I had already read the first forums yesterday, but I just read the tomshardware one and I think it sealed it for me, I will go with the Asus. Thanks to all for all your help!

Monoprice actually offers monitors which are similar to the Catleap ones people eat up on eBay.

well I got my monitor yesterday, its pretty fantastic, with only 1 problem. It has 1 dead/stuck pixel. Its weird, the pixel is stuck blue on dark screens. It changes to white when the mouse moves to it and when a web page is white. Do I return it to Amazon for another 1 (after all I paid a lot of money for it to not be perfect) but am I expecting to much. Is it normal for a screen of that size to have at least 1 dead pixel. I wonder if Amazon will exchange it for 1 dead pixel??
Turns out its a stuck pixel, not a dead pixel, the red seems to not be working. It does all colors except red and black. I am running a program called Undead pixel to see if it can free it up or get it working. Last edited by LIONSFAN20; 05-11-2013 at 06:59 PM. |
