I did this earlier last year, I went from around 480ish into the mid 510's. Now to make sure I never forget to add a movie, it gets added to my collection the moment it is preordered/ordered.

For the most part I am waiting till I actually get them before adding them to my collection as I seem to forget to change it from ordered to owned.
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"

"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas."
"Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?"

For some, I don't "really" qualify for the 700+ club since some of the items are actually pre-orders. But since I have no intention of cancelling any of the orders and most of them....especially Amazon orders...are pre-paid with gift cards, I consider them mine.

The only thing I'll have to make certain of is whether or not they arrive on my doorstep. Had a couple that hadn't make the trans-Atlantic voyage.

If you constantly forget to change them from ordered to owned, then you would probably forget to add them to your collection at all.

I usually try and add them right when I order them, especially since 99% of the time when I order a movie I also have blu-ray.com opened. However when I receive the package, I might not be on my computer at all. So if I wait until then, I would probably miss quite a few.

It's also useful to me so I can check with orders have failed to be delivered, and if I see them up there for awhile I can inquire as to what is going on with my order. It makes it easier to track what I'm still "missing" from pending orders.

This was my problem, I would order movies, get the order and forget to add them to my collection. The only way I solved this issue was to add them to my collection as soon as they were ordered/paid.

Just hit the 700 mark, how did that happen? I thought I was slowing down.

Guess I'm part of this club. I just buy the movies that I'm passionate about. Some are true classics, some are guilty pleasures. I've always enjoyed a balance in my movie watching. To me, it's like having a balanced diet. The number I have doesn't really matter to me. It's incidental. But I get how some could get a "buzz" from reaching a certain benchmark.

Guess I should have gone through my collection more slowly, due to the wonderful teenagers I have here that have no idea how to alphabetize (seriously?), I had to move CHUNKS of my collection around. In the process I discovered that I had 3 movies that I had missed.. again.

I went through them with my Blu-Ray.com phone app to help me alphabetize them faster, and see what was still not in the right spot (to which I had to search through 3 racks of movies), when I discovered the 3 movies I had missed.

Needless to say there are new rules about taking movies off the shelves now.

Hit over 900 today thanks to the TT's sale on quite a few of their titles I had been wanting to purchase. I bought 6 of the on sale ones, and 1 that wasn't but wanted anyways.
