Default On-off & whinning

Clear this up for me please you turn your pre-pro on first then your amp & reverse when turning off correct?My small problem with my 7 y/o ATI amp is when it powers down all spks connected to it has a discharge whinning sound that is not very loud,it has always done this.thanks in advance

Yep, the order you describe is correct. The whining is probably the power supply capacitors discharging, and is very likely to be normal operation.

thanks richteer,the amp is a ATI 3007 300w x 7 its been a good amp very powerful ( im going deaf!) I thought is was just normal for this amp,nothings perfect.
