so im back for more recommendations with a different budget now.

I need 5 speakers as i have already decided on a sub pretty much. SVS psb-nsd.

Budget is 3k for just the 5 speakers.

Room is 12 x 16 x 8

100% movies.

whats your % of ht vs music? What receiver do you have? Does it matter if you get towers or monitors? How big is your room?

i plan on getting any onkyo 818

Dont care if towers or monitors whatever will make my HT experience better.

EDIT

With the recent SVS announcement of higher end speakers i may wait til they come out with some reviews!

EMP and Home Theater Direct (HTD) are two factory-direct speaker manufacturers. Their speakers are very good and would cost a lot more if they were sold through retailers. The speakers come in red or black. The EMP red burl speakers look gorgeous. EMP does not charge for shipping, but HTD does. HTD speakers have ribbon tweeters.

If you want to go high-end at a reasonable price, buy a pair of Focal Chorus 826V towers for $2,699 and a Focal Chorus CC 800V center speaker for $699. Alternatively, you can buy a pair of Focal Chorus 816 V tower speakers for $2,199 and the same center speaker. As for surround speakers, you can buy a pair of bipolar surround speakers from any other company below $500.

ive also been looking at ascend towers with center and possible raal upgrade (Yes over budget)

still need to go audition some Canadian retailers
