They might not be doing it this year, but that doesn't mean Harris isn't right and that it won't eventually be done. They also turned down Shout Factory doing The Thing according to facebook, so that might be on the menu as well. I see reason for optimism.

Yeah.

Their habit of DNR'ing their old animated films is really bad imo.

Such a shame.

The BTTF Trilogy deserves better.
Why is the rum gone?

Even if Universal turn the dial to 88mph, there's still a chance we'll see some serious shit.

Universal's catalogue releases are something that tell my brain to "proceed with caution," we've had our fingers burnt too many times, and if they're spending money it means they'll be trying to make money, by regurgitating the same transfers for popular films (like we discussed with Jurassic Park and Back to the Future) over and over again and I'm sure they'll watching how they sell to advance to the new transfer stages. Chances are, if we don't buy all out favourites [again], then they'll say the market isn't there for them!

Our best hopes is the catalogue market for 4K releases, if there's demand for them, then I'd imagine there's a good chance they'll revisit some of their old transfers that left us wanting more.

I don't think RAH was talking about BTTF specifically though. In any case, I'm not saying it'll NEVER happen, I said they're not doing any remastering for the 30th anniversary re-release. Apparently.
