I've never seen the subject of sex displayed in this light before and it was definitely eye-opening. Most films display it as such a passionate and exciting film, but this film shows how destructive it can be.

Michael Fassbender is such a great actor and he does an excellent job in this film. The character he plays, Brandon, is essentially a control freak and thinks the world is his playground and that he can do whatever he wants. Sex is his drug and he is constantly looking for a fix. He's become so used to it that it hinders all of his other relationships with significant others or family members.

The ending of the film was the best part of the film, in my opinion. It leaves it up to the viewer to decide Brandon's fate.

I'm going to make it a priority to watch Hunger some time within the next couple of days. I really enjoyed this film by Steve McQueen, so I'm really looking forward to seeing his other one.

Glad to hear this. I am very excited to watch this film. My local Blockbuster has the Blu-ray, but it gets checked out a lot.

I do. It is my only one and while I enjoy the ability to rent a Blu-ray on my way home that Redbox no longer carries, the $2.99/night price tag is WAY steep.

Watched it last night. I had to resort to getting the Blu-ray through Netflix. I enjoyed it. It does a great job of portraying his problem as a true sickness. During his "binge" night out, there is so much nudity and it is not even viewed in the same light you would usually see sex because all you are focusing on is this man's downward spiral. For me the, the best scene was

[Show spoiler]right after that when he rushes home and finds Sissy in the bathroom with all the blood. His emotion when he finds her is great

. You truly feel for this guy. He hasn't done anything to make us hate him in any way. The ending was well done. I didn't know if the ring was going to be on her finger or not.

From what I've read that others have posted, you won't be able to get it with a slipcover any more.
