Thanks John! We have some very nice oak trees around here, and some really tall pine trees. The needles are huge on the Pines here, in Wisconsin the were much shorter. I would love to see some of the trees in Canada! I imagine the forest are just breathtaking there.

Thanks! It's taking me forever but I'm happy with how its turning out. We're paying for it as we go so that we can pay cash for it, also with the heat of the summer we would work in short shifts so not to get a heat stroke Lol we should start moving along faster with the cooler weather

It's 44° here in Michigan right now this morning it was a balmy 31°! Yeah I would do the same thing you're doing. Working in the heat sucks!!! You've done an amazing job so far. How much you have left to complete?

I'm almost half way done with the back of the fence, I still have a couple shorter sections to tie it into the back of the house, so one the back is done, I'll be about 2/3rds finished.

Fence does look good Tommy

I bet your happy the weather is on your side now, sure makes outdoor projects alot easier, and actually enjoyable.

One thing I have to say is if you ever build your own fence, do it the way I am as far as all of it your self just buying the materials. The pre made sections of fence are much cheaper quality as far as the wood goes and its about the same cost per section. Plus you have the satisfaction of being able to look at what you accomplished as apposed to having some factory pre fab it for you.

Nice DIY job .... Did you treat the wood ( weatherproof ) or purchase treated wood?

I purchased treated wood, but we are also staining it with weather proof stain, so far we have only done the outside of the fence so you can't see it in the pictures yet.

Great idea of buying treated wood, and doubling up with the weather proof stain I understand what you mean by being proud of the job doing it all yourself. ....such a sense of satisfaction & accomplishment
