Yeah theres no way sony wont have a dv player announced at ces, nobody (but samsung) is going to want to let oppo keep the market all to themselves.

I have no inside knowledge of what Sony is doing in their research and I am sure they keep it closely guarded. What I am sure of is, they would be testing thoroughly with other brands too and even then the end user of the product will find some problem Sony didn't. |

As the interop WG of the Ultra HD Forum discovered in their testing at last June’s plugfest with regards to TV behaviors with static metadata, you aside, but some consumers and ‘pro’ reviewers still don’t realize with regards to static metadata ST 2086, MaxFALL, MaxCLL…..

All Sony said was the “higher-end models” with X1 Xtreme processors from 2017 were getting it this month at some point. No idea what exact TVs have that or what they meant by that. It’s just very vague to me.
