I was thinking the same thing. The last time I was wowed was by Saboteur out of the hitchcock collection. I had heard a lot of negative things about the collection, but it looked fantastic.

The IMAX scenes on The Dark Knight Rises are absolutely stunning. I kept moving progressively closer to see if it was really as crystal clear as I was suspecting, and I didn't get an ounce of blur or loss of clarity until I was close enough to see the individual pixels on my screen.

I've been floored by Prometheus, 5th Element, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (might have been just the effects), Tin Tin & Speed Racer visually. |

Right? I didn't think it was that impressive either. Way too many bandings, and some noisy shots in the dark to warrant the praise. What's the hype all about? I don't get it!

Probably the most beautiful transfer of a non fantasy/sci-fi film ever! LOVE THAT MOVIE AND THE TRANSFER AND THE SOUND! ![]() Although I wasn't wowed by it, but I was positively surprised by The Perfect Storm transfer. I was expecting way worse from reading all those not so enthusiastic reviews. I think the transfer is pretty spot on. |
