Picked it up for 4.99 as a blind buy...worth every penny I friggin' love this film. Classic 80's cheese. My only regret is I didn't pick this up sooner. Never found Teri Hatcher attractive before I saw her in this film.

I didn't even know this was on Blu-Ray. Such a fun & truly guilty 80's pleasure!

I would have picked it up for $4.99. One of the better guilty pleasures from the '80s. Stallone and Russell made a great buddy cop pairing.

Any difference between the 2009 and the 2011 release?
Faster than a bullet from a gun. Closer to Heaven than to Earth.

2K setup: 65" Panasonic VT65, Onkyo TX-SR608 7.2, Oppo BDP-103 Region-Free, Sonus Faber Venere 2.5 fronts, Jamo E8CEN centre, E800 surrounds and rear surrounds, E8SUB subwoofer, Sony MDR-HW700DS 9.1 headphones, Monster Power HTS-2600, 1TB Mediacentre, 500GB PS4, Cyron RGB LEDs. 50" VT30 and 40GB fat PS3 in the lounge.

4K setup to follow...

From what I can see, the 2011 release was packaged with a DVD. The BLU and it's features look to be the same as the 2009 release.

Not bad, but quite as good as I rather hopefully remembered it. Things needed a tighter edit and a bit more punch in the sound mix, which shows clearly in the closing Best Of What I Got rocker by Bad English (ya gotta turn that sucker up)!

As both releases seem to be the same, you might want to go looking for the UK Stallone box-set, which contains Tango & Cash, Demolition Man, Cobra, The Specialist and Assassins. It's from Warner, and are region-free.

The best bit is that you can pick it up for the princely price of about $15 (before postage).

Man, some of Sly's line readings are just off in this.

"Either that, or a suprise party.", and "I don't think they're into small talk." should have be delivered in a sarcastic tone. Stallone shouts them like Shakespear.

Sly's tone is just all over the place, where as Kurt is having a blast the entire time.

Your remote should have a button for that.
