I've said it before, but 'Avatar is overrated' is the most popular opinion ever in the history of opinions. You find more people hating on it now than people who genuinely like it.
Favourite film: Blade Runner --- Favourite director: David Lynch
Favourite album: Movement by New Order --- Favourite novel: It by Stephen King
Currently reading: The Dead Zone by Stephen King

I literally laughed out loud.

That's a very true observation: You rarely do see someone calling something "underrated" without adding "criminally." What an oddly specific adjective/noun combination! (that I myself have used many times, I am sure)

Just us film snobs though. Avatar 2 will have a record opening weekend, surely.

Despite the fact that Casino Royale and Skyfall are clearly better, Quantum of Solace is still great.

The theatrical cut of a movie is usually far superior to the directors cut.

The best film Clark Gable ever made and the best film Marilyn Monroe ever made is not only the same film, but the last film either of them ever appeared in

The longer the wait, the less likely I think this will be.

It doesn't really matter though.

Even if the second film literally grosses nothing, it will still be the highest-grosing franchise by average of all time.

I didn't like Place Beyond The Pines. Great 1st act, good 2nd act, terrible 3rd act. I'd rate the acts 9, 6 and 1 respectively for a 5.xx average. A 5 isn't awful in my book though, that is halfway to a perfect score after all.

4K Blu-Rays on 4k displays will actually BLOW peoples minds, and they will regard standard Blu-Rays as
[Show spoiler]shitty quality
come 2016/2017. Home Atmos systems will be largely a joke though, because 5.1 DTS HD MA/True is about all you need in a 20x20 room or smaller dimension, and average wal mart people have 5.1 sound bars or less, and will be happy with that for about 20 years.
AUDIO = Audigy2 ZS Soundcard--->DTS 5.1 passthrough SPDIF--->Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 5.1 owned for 8 years - Cyberlink PowerDVD 11.0 software on a Windows 7 PC
VIDEO = DVI--->HDMI--->Acer 5360 - DLP Projector My little baby! - Also Nvidia3D Vision Glasses - On 2nd Bulb! 1st Bulb did 3048 hours, owned for 3 years

I quite like QoS but it's definitely one of the weaker films in the series. Forster tried so damn hard to make it completely anti-Bond to the point where only Craig and Arnold could save it. And they did.. barely. I'm not a huge David Arnold fan but QoS was definitely his best work and Daniel Craig is great in the role.

And I've seen it probably 8 times and I still have NO IDEA what's going on once Mr. White shoots off the line to the double agent and escapes in Siena. But everyone knows how bad the editing is in that movie. Skyfall was a step in the right direction.

The plot about water in Bolivia? Bond should have just called the cops. All of Forster's leftist antics started bothering me too after awhile.

Your complaints are definitely valid, and I do agree that the editing is pretty bad. But even then, I still do think the movie overall is good.

Both David O' Russell and Bradley Cooper should have won the Oscars for Silver Linings Playbook. Along with it winning best picture.
I have a horror script I wrote called "Truth Or Dare" It's very Scream like influenced. If interested in reading it. Please PM me.

I agree man. I think people who call it a horrible film are just being ridiculous. There's a lot to like.

The cinematography (when it's not shaking and editing like crazy) is actually some of the best in the series. Daniel Craig is good, Strawberry Fields is VERY good, and Mathis is one of Bond's greatest allies.

Casino Royale is one of the best Bond films in my opinion. Since they wanted to do a follow-up I think with a different director and an actual finished script it could've been great. Even so, the final scene in QoS has some nice closure to it.

Cooper was very good in that role. I was actually sort of rooting for SLP to win that year (although I thought Argo was really ****ing good).

One thing I'm still kinda hoping on is that they bring back the Quantum organization. I think they could do some cool stuff with that without overtly referencing QOS (or even CR).

Definitely. Like a modern day SPECTRE. With the way Skyfall was leaning I could see it working.

I'd love an old-school over the top larger than life Bond epic. Craig deadpans well. Give us some spectacle.

Argo was good. But it usually seems anything based on true events usually wins. I would say SLP has a better re-watchable factor to it though. I usually don't watch alot of Oscar films. But that was my fave of one of those types of films in a while. Maybe since Forrest Gump or Shawshank.
