It's disappointing just how different Pacino looked and sounded by part 3. I get that 16 years had passed by, but the plastic surgery and cigar smoking really ****ed with his appearance and voice.

Other then maybe getting universally label "the worst film ever made," there was nothing the film could of done, to bring down the first 2 films. That is a testament to just how amazing those films were. The only way GODFATHER 3 could of ever been a possibly a disservice to the first 2 films, is if it was absolutely terrible. Like "I can't even finish this film" terrible. I'm talking like a 1-2 out of 10.

GODFATHER 3 was a big dip in quality in both my eyes, & in the eyes of many fans, but I didn't think it was terrible either. I just wish the trilogy could of ended on a bit of more higher note then it did. I also never felt at anytime during the film, that Sofia Coppola was "bad." I was more indifferent to be honest. Overall, I would say it's ok, at best. A 4.5 out of 10, 5 out of 10 tops. I've only watch it once, I wonder how I would feel about it now.

Overall the film still looks great as far as clarity and detail.
I don't recall a yellowish tint per se last time I watched it on a pro calibrated Panasonic plasma, but I will be watching these movies again for the first time on my front projection set-up.

I do recall them looking excellent especially given the damage that occured in the negative.

By the way, Sofia Coppola is awesome.

As an actor?

...I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

She wasn't great in part 3, but she wasn't as bad as a lot of people say she was either.

Yeah. She was NOT good, but she also wasn't some horrible abomination that ruined the movie.

I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

I think her performance was one of, if not THEE worst movie performances of all time.

Absolutely zero charisma or ability to emote whatsoever.

It's almost as if she had no acting experience at all.

...which she didn't.

No, she didn't single-handedly ruin the film. There was enough blame to go around for that. But nothing about her performance was good. She got the job for only one reason: her last name.

That said, she's a good director. I really love "Lost in Translation".
