Meh, only Man of Steel saved this film from being the worst release of 2013.

My family was entertained by The Lone Ranger in the theater. I might pick it up on blu when it's on sale.

Here's a really weird Western double feature for the home: The Lone Ranger and then Heaven's Gate. Totally different movies. Both flawed. Both criticized too much imho. They do have a few things in common, since they were both "the most expensive Westerns ever" when they were made, and both box office disappointments....Even as a twisted fan of both movies, I don't think I could ever sit through both in one day. Just not possible....

The Lone Ranger would have been a much better movie if they trimmed out all of the "present day" stuff. Every single one of those scenes brought the movie to a dead stop and felt like a different movie. Wasn't needed. The Lone Ranger parts were actually pretty good.
