![]() http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Step-U.../51951/#Review Cant believe this movie doesn't have its own thread. Got it on friday and watched it over the weekend. Was a bit reserved in my expectations, it is a no.4 afterall, but there was no need. Was blown away with great aq/pq, insane music, and some of the best dancesequences I have ever seen. The 1/5 movie score is Not fair in my book, you get a Step Up movie, nothing more and nothing less..

The movie reviews on this site are a joke. If it's not cinema-snob fare, they don't know how to just enjoy a flick that's fun and light and doesn't take itself too seriously.

I rented this over the weekend and thought it was enjoyable (I preferred the two leads in this installment versus the third one), but I did start having a problem with the script - some of the dialogue was soooo cheesy that it was almost pushed into the realm of ABC Family Original movie at certain points. BUT the dance sequences were mind blowing and the visual/audio (not just presentation but cinematography as well) blew my expectations out of the window.

This is the kind of movie that 3D is best for - movies that embrace 3D for the gimmick that it is and just show off and have fun with it. Step Up, Pirahna, Final Destination, etc...

You are correct, it sure is fun in 3D.
"If we're about to die anyways, I'd rather die fighting! Come for me Gmork, I am Atreyu!"
"And use some of that cologne Gertrude got you for Christmas." "Oh do I have to Mother, it smells like ether?" " I told you 158 times I hate little notes on my pillow. 'We are all out of Corn Flakes F.U.' it took me three hours to realize that F.U. stood for Felix Ungar." |
