Got my S60 today and set it up with these settings! Below are the before and after pictures. Taken with my SG3, so not the best of quality. But still, a huge difference!

You definitely had black crush in the default settings. At least now you can see shadow detail even if the settings aren't perfect for your particular set.

I'll do a final bit of tweaking when my Disney WOW gets it, but sadly that is as far as I will be able to go.

That Disney WOW CD was exhaustive to say the least. I'm going to have to wait until I have a whole day open to do it I think.

The disney WOW or any other calibration disc will only really allow you to set the contrast/brightness and maybe sharpness to your liking through it's patterns. For actual grayscale or color, you will need a spectrometer or colorimeter + software to get them tuned in.

Picture settings using HDMI for Cable HDTV (Optimum iO), and HTPC (AMD/ATI HD7870 with Pixel Format set to RGB 4:4:4 Full RGB + MadVR/Lav Filters). The viewing environment is in a dark room and a viewing distance of 6-10 feet (although these settings also work for daytime viewing for me). Calibration was done using an i1Display2 colorimeter which was profiled off my Colormunki Photo spectrometer + ColorHCFR fork software and the AVS HD709 window patterns with 100% color window patterns. (37 ftl measured at 100 IRE avg gs de of 2.3 (6.6 at 10 IRE and 4.8 at 20 IRE). avg color de of 0.85 with solid saturation tracking with gamma of 2.23)
