I think I have a pretty firm grasp on what I like, and I can manage my expectations in relation of how much I spend on a release. So pretty much the only example I can come up with is the recent purchase of Punisher Warzone.

Five bucks, so I'm not mad, but what a weirdly bad film. Weird because I honestly can't tell if that level of camp was completely intentional, or just a perfect cocktail of bad scripting, direction and acting.
Thereís something big and powerful and wise, and itís begging us to end its worthless life. So letís be Temple Grandin for the night, and find a friendly way to make it die.

My worst Blind buy... hmmmmm... I've had some doozies... but I'd have to go with 'The Grey'.

Just not my cup of tea at all... After reading the hype for it... and then watching the characters make stupid choice after stupid choice... I honestly started rooting for the Wolves. Traded it in at my Hastings days after the blind purchase and never looked back.

The camp is totally intentional...and for what the film is doing, I think it works. For me, it's a case of "good camp"...as opposed to something like Batman & Robin, which is "slit my wrists camp." haha I love the bald-faced over-the-topness of Punisher War Zone. It's very Garth Ennis Punisher MAX, reveling in its graphic violence and never taking itself very seriously. I consider it ridiculously awesome by virtue of being awesomely ridiculous.

What exactly is a blind buy? Buying a movie you don't know much about?

Well, I buy a lot of movies I've never seen before. Don't see why you should restrict adding only movies you've seen to the collection.

As far as my worst blind buy, probably Easy Rider. Bought the Criterion separately. Didn't really like it.
