Hmmm... disc skipping sounds more commonly lik a disc problem. However, with that purple hue comment added to the mix, I'd say it's more likely a hardware issue (BD player or TV).

It only happens with this particular disc.

I got a response from Paramount, I guess I have to fill out a form. I'm gonna have to download Star Trek through less-than-legal means if I want to watch it in time. Disappointing.

Forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this BUT has anyone in the south central PA / northern MD area spotted any copies of the WalMart 3-Disc edition of this movie for $5. Ever since Star Trek: Into Darkness came out I've been looking for a copy for a friend so any help would be appreciated.

I found one of the 3-disc, $5 copies at my Wal-Mart today! I was very late to finding how good and cool this movie is. I had seen countless of these copies there the year it came out and was never interested then, so I feel very lucky now. There was one other copy there but the slip cover was very worn out.
