What is going on with the SR4KP1? I looked on the Sears website and it's selling for $470. Am I looking at the wrong player??

Wondering the same thing, went to look for one for a buddy and saw the price for it and was shocked! I had gotten mine from Sears in person a few months back and it was only $60 or so.

It looks like Sears doesn't carry it anymore. The exorbitant prices are from 3rd party marketplace sellers. I think your best bet is eBay.

Me too! Every time I spin up a Region B/C disc, I always wonder if this is the one that ends an era!
Ditto my PS3 fat, that has a billion times more mileage!

Hello,

Just bought the sr4kp1. I entered the region free code but every time PAL content is being played my tv screen goes black and can only hear the sound (no picture). Can someone help me? My tv is a panasonic 42s2 plasma.

thanks!

The older version had a option under TV System (Display Settings), where I think you could select NTSC/PAL or Multi. I can't find the specifications of the player so I can't find out if it supports PAL, but I'm sure other owners will help out.

It sounds like it just outputting PAL and your TV isn't up to it, so you might need to convert the PAL to NTSC, hopefully there's an option to do that!

The Seiki SR4KP1 should do that automatically IIRC.
