Default "The Outer Rim" my Star Wars Collection

Hi all,
If anyone is interested here's a link to my Star Wars collection, "The Outer Rim". I just put some new pics up after getting back from Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando. The wife and I got a lot of great stuff.
Enjoy.

Very impressive. It would appear Steve Sansweet has some competition!

Thanks for that, but I'm not even close to Rancho Obiwan.

I think he has gone beyond 'collection'. You should call it your The Outer Rim Museum. Or Rancho Obiwan of the South.

You have a point. I've been meaning to make a sign to put over the entrance to the room. That'll be my next project. My room doesn't come close to Rancho Obiwan.

It seems like it's never ending, huh?! My wife and I will be making the trip this weekend to get her a couple more Detolfs, and I need to pick up another smaller Besta unit.

Dude, I was looking at those besta units and they would look great around the perimeter of my room where all the pegboard is. Def. something to think about. and yes it does seem neverending, but don't we have fun with it?

Yeah it was great, even better than CV. Now we have to wait for CVII which should be in Orlando again.
Man I bought so much stuff at CVI that I filled the bed and back seat of my wifes Tundra. We actually had to adjust our seats a little for the ride back because I had so much stuff in the back seat. I told her if we had bought one more thing she would have had to drive home with it on her lap. LOL

Great collection you have there. Been collecting Star Wars stuff myself since 1977, I sometime have people asking me why I buy some of these things but for me it's just a fun past time, I like Star Wars and I enjoy collecting different stuff from that franchise. I never wanted to sell it either, never wanted to become rich with it, it just for me.

Thanks so much. Glad you like it. I have to add some more pics to the new folder. Just finished getting it set up after coming back from CVI.
We have a lot of fun when friends or family see it for the first time because their jaws drop. It's like sensory overload and it's not a giant room. My wife suggested we start putting stuff in other parts of the house which I thought was great. We started doing that and taking stuff down that wasn't Star Wars. Our hallway is now posters and MR sabers. The mantle in the home theater had the sculpted SW posters and the kitchen just got it's first SW item. Salt and pepper shakers from the convention. Our master bath has Star Wars stuff in it too. The one thing I'm going to leave alone is our hallway bathroom which is all comics, heroes and villains statues. I'll post pics as soon as I can of all that stuff.

Thanks again to everyone for the great comments.

When someone asks me why I collect I immediately know they don't collect anything so I tell them they wouldn't understand. I still get that from my parents. I just don't let it bother me. If you haven't watched it yet "collection intervention" is a pretty cool show.

That's hilarious. My wife first thought I was crazy when I ordered a truck bed cover from Amazon. Good thing I did because we needed it. Do you have a big collection? Pics? Would love to see it.

Right now I'm trying to work out a deal with my local comic book shop. He has a death star playset(complete) and an ewok playset(also complete). Going to see him tomorrow to try and work out a deal. If I get lucky they'll be coming home with me. wish me luck.

So I went into my local comic shop last weekend and he had a vintage Death Star playset and an Ewok playset. Went back yesterday with some non star wars stuff I cleaned out of my closet. He liked some of the stuff and traded me. So now I have a vintage Star Wars Death Star playset in my collection. Pretty nice shape for a 34 year old toy.
