My copy had arrived okay from Amazon in their Steelbook packaging which looked unmarked.

Unsealed the Steelbook last night and there was a big dent in the top edge obscured by the back card. So obviously damaged at manufacture or in Amazon's warehouse

Amazon's returns process has improved for me as they now push you to return via one of their collect+ convenience stores locations as only refund Ł1.49 if you return via Royal Mail. Luckily for me one of the stores is only 5 minutes walk away. Took there today and no queue unlike if I had been forced to go into town to our Post Office which is a nightmare for length of queue on a Saturday.

Does mean I can't watch until next weekend as they are also sending the replacement super saver delivery.

Are there any high-street stores stocking this? I've been thinking about jumping ship to the holographic slip, but I'd like to see it properly first.

No it seems to be Zavvi and Amazon online.
E1 offered others the stock when HMV went under so could no longer take the exclusive.

Where else is there on the high street apart from HMV, only the supermarkets and they have never really done this type of thing. Only one who could be interested is Sainsburys who have been doing an increasing number of exclusives recently but those tend to be additional bonus disks.

Cheers.

There aren't many places - but CEX tend to get a few new releases in each week, and I've seen Fopp (while owned by HMV) with a bit of new stock since the administration notice - they had the new Resident Evil exclusive steel.

You know Cex only really sell second hand stock? They only get new releases in is if someone has already bought/ stolen it and then traded in

I received mine!
If you have OCD, then you should not be collecting Scanavo SteelBooks™.

I may tolerate a few minor scratches and dents, but a SLASH IS WHERE I DRAW THE LINE.

I bought the Looper steelbook from Zavvi last week not realizing that it was Region B only. My bad. Unfortunately I live here in the US and can't watch this movie. Does anyone have any advice? I would be happy to trade my Region B disc with anyone's region A disc, though that seems unlikely.

I have an OPPO 93, so I might look into "region-free" modding with it.

Get the region free mod. A guy sells it on eBay for $89 I think and it is an external mod. All you have to do is plug it into the RS232 port and the USB input on the back and you region free.
