Judging from the red online item sticker, my guess is target only sells this version of the trilogy on their website. I think if someone returns an online item to a store that maybe they clearance it to get it out of the store? It is very strange to see it as clearance.

I have a Target right by my work, so I stopped by on my lunch break. They had the new set for $22 with no movie cash. Oh well, worth a try.

My target had the version with movie money in the BvS stand near the registers. The version without the movie money was in electronics.

Price match it to 19.57, it's not even that price IN store at Target so it's a good buy for that.

went ahead and grabbed the last copy at my Target.

The mondo art prints are cool.. I haven't found online any examples of someone framing them. Looking for ideas of how to display these cards. Anyone?

Does the Special Edition Dark Knight Trilogy come with Ultraviolet copies of the films?

Not unless the digital code was in with the art cards which I haven't opened yet.

I noticed the copies without the movie cash have a hard slipcase. While the newer copies with the movie cash has a flimsy slipcase.

For those who got the newer "movie cash" one, is the slipcase a little better than the hard one? I got it release week and it's a little bulky on the shelf (plus no movie money), just wondering.

I don't know anything about this flimsy one, but the hard case is the one you want. It's quality. Much less bulkier than the Ultimate Collector Edition.

If anyone cares, I somehow ended up with duplicates of the trilogy discs. I don't have an extra trilogy bonus disc, but would sell the trilogy discs for cheap. They are perfect and unplayed . I think there from the steelbooks I had.
Every Blu-ray should have a Play-All option for special features and every player should have 1.5x playback.
Every Blu-ray should come in a Viva Elite case with thick stock artwork and a slipcover. Each disc should have its own hub.
Dark HDR titles exist: Compare Star Trek Beyond 4K to the BD or any other Trek UHD. 10-15% are dark.

Great thing about this new set, is that the discs are in a regular-sized case within the hard outer-box. Gives me the option of putting it with the regular-sized movie cases OR with my box sets.

Considered getting the new one, but ended up getting the UCE yesterday. Phenomenal box set, best one out there in my opinion.

It has all the extras from the original releases, plus the new features added with the Ultimate Collector's Edition back in 2013.

Quote:
The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of The Dark Knight Trilogy (Disc 6, HD, 1:16:48): This feature-length documentary delves into the trilogy, opening with the inspiration and vision for the new Batman films and inching its way toward the Rises finale and the culmination of nearly a decade of creative blood, sweat and tears. Candid, thoughtful and extensive, and comprised of revealing behind-the- scenes footage, countless interviews, audition tapes (with Christian Bale and Cillian Murphy doning the cape and cowl), and a narrative grip and momentum all its own, it leaves no stone unturned. Moreover, it manages to strike a balance between an A-to-Z production overview, in-depth film analysis and fascinating making-of documentary.

Christopher Nolan and Richard Donner: A Conversation (Disc 6, HD, 25:11): "I said, 'I want to do for Batman what Dick Donner did for Superman." So begins a great little conversation between filmmakers Christopher Nolan and Richard Donner. The two share stories and insights, discuss casting and production challenges, laugh and compare notes, and touch on the differences between comicbook adaptations then and now. Nolan tends to slip into interviewing Donner, suggesting the Dark Knight director is either starstruck or intensely inquisitive, not that it proves irritating in the least. Their conversation isn't as illuminating as "The Fire Rises," of course, but it's an excellent addition to the supplemental package. The Ultimate Collector's Edition exclusives are two for two.

The Complete Dark Knight IMAX Sequences (Disc 6, HD, 36:56): The second film's six IMAX segments, newly remastered and presented in their entirety at their original IMAX aspect ratio. Video is 1080p/AVC MPEG-4, audio is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Sequences include "The Prologue," "Hong Kong," "The Armored Car Chase," "The Lamborghini Crash," "The Prewitt Building" and "The Dark Knight."

The Complete Dark Knight Rises IMAX Sequences (Disc 6, HD, 70:33): The third film's fifteen IMAX segments, presented in their entirety at their original IMAX aspect ratio. Video is 1080p/AVC MPEG-4, audio is DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Sequences include "The Prologue," "Dive Bar Fight," "Gotham Exchange Heist/Return of the Batman," "Escape in The Bat," "Batman vs. Bane," "Reactor Breach," "Let the Games Begin," "Bane's Revolution," "The First Attempt," "Rise," "Kangaroo Court," "Back in the Game," "The Battle for Gotham City," "Stopping the Bomb" and "Rising from the Abyss."

Its the 5 discs from the individual releases (1 for BB and 2 each for TDK and TDKR) plus a bonus disc.

Thank you! This is the information that I was looking for. I already have the three films, of course. I have the steelbook cases for the first two that BB released a few years ago when The Dark Knight Rises first came out. However, I think $15.96 is worth the price of those new special features. This won't be the first time I've double-dipped, and it won't be the last, but $16 isn't too big of a hit. Also, I might sell off those two BB steelbooks. I've never been too big on steelbooks anyway.

I love Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, yet, I still have not finished Dark Knight Rises....I really need to jump back on it tonight......

Also, I want the new set for the bonus disc, but, i'm not sure I really want to double dip on it.....I've already done that with so many other movies...

I didn't think too highly of the bonus disc. The documentary mostly consists of the cast and crew circle-jerking Nolan and talking about what a 'visionary' he is. The conversation between Nolan and Donner fares better, but it's less interesting than it sounds.
