i actually prefer the less-is-more approach to cover art. plus, this particularly reminds me more of the DVD cover, w/ the slip, i'll be so sorry to part w/ it, but alas, i'd rather have the BD sans slip than the DVD w/ it...

There's nothing saying you can't put the blu-ray in the dvd case, or (heaven forbid) cut the slip cover to fit the blu-ray case. I've done that for RED DAWN and ANGEL HEART and the actually look quite nice (made the cuts on the bottom).

Good to see my favorite werewolf film finally coming to Blu-ray, only been waiting FOREVER! Seems like the Blu-ray gods know my wish list, and torture me by making me wait for years to release my picks. Still have 2 more months to wait for this one to come out. Waited a long time for "Fright Night" and when it did come out, it's way out of my price range. Thanks for that one Blu-ray Gods. PS I hate the movies "Them!" 1956 and the "Thing From Another World" 1951, BR Gods don't ever release those classics.....reverse psychology

What's frustrating is I thought "Them" was supposed to be released this year. Hoping they would have released the original "War Of The Worlds" by now.

Count me in. I just hate them SO much! They are, like, the worst movies EVAH!

If they were released on BD, I would buy them just to have them on my shelves so I could send them evil eyes and make them feel guilty for being so bad. I would have to check them out once in a while - just to remind me how bad they really are, of course.

Yes! The George Pal produced classic! I was just thinking about this! The colors would really pop with the proper remaster for high-def Blu-ray! One of the first sci-fi movies I remember seeing on television as a kid.

Wow, I didn't know this was being released! I watched this as a double feature when it first came out. Has it been that long? Maybe the UK will release a steelbook version, possibly through Arrow?

Does anybody know if this one woll be region locked again? There is really a lot of Shout releases i'd buy if it was't for the region coding

Do Scream have bi-lingual covers/slips for the Canadian market or are they likely to be exactly the same as the US release? I only ask as Amazon.ca have the best pre-order price for The Howling at the moment.
