I just saw that "North by Northwest" is included in the US box set but not in the UK box set...why?

NORTH BY NORTHWEST is distributed by Warners exclusively in the overseas market (from what I am aware of) hence not included in the box set.

Same here. The only off-puting about this set (for me at least), are all these extremely opposite reviews I keep reading. There are people who praise it and others who scorn it. I am a bit confused .

No. It's a Warner title. They allowed the use of it in the US set in exchange for Universal allowing Spartacus in the Universal released Kubrick set.

Thanks for the information. I highly dislike such deals.
I'm not sure now about that UK Black Friday deal knowing that one Blu-ray is missing.

You can pick up Northwest for 6-8 if it bothers you that much?

61.75 for the Hitchcock box in the Amazon deal - still way too expensive considering all the problems.
Setup: Panasonic TX-P50VT30 & Oppo 103 Region ABC, Xbox360, Xbox One X, Wii U

Got my order in for 61.75 on that Amazon Lightning Deal. Canceled my Zavvi order I made earlier too, thank god they hadn't shipped it.

61.75 for the standard set
14 films, so about 4.41 each

I'm in.

61.75 is still a lot of money, but super-cheap on a per-film basis. And I really don't see them fixing any of the various "issues" with certain transfers in the foreseeable future.

yup dont see it dropping below 60 for long time to come.

pity the limited edition wasn't the one of offer. wander if it would have been if it wasn't pulled due to some one reporting an issue about it

The price seems good (per film basis). Too bad I can't afford it now, as I will be buying it in the future, although I think that there's a possibility to find it (sometime in the future) for even less than, this deal at the moment.

If the deal were somewhere near the 50 area, I would be in. The 61.75 deal seems to have a rather lukewarm welcome.

I guess that the dvds will comfort me for a bit longer .
