Why not say £10.99?

I mean, 75p per film seems more suited to a set of this calibre doesn't it?

P.S - I'm being SARCASTIC. Old movies? That may be correct, but they are some of the best movies ever made. Some of the picture quality on these is damn impressive too.

I love people that don't own the shit they are chatting about. Talk about hyperbole.

Agreed, when you consider some of the other boxsets out there this one is a bit too pricey just because it's Hitchcock. It aint full of his best work, it should have been called Alfred Hitchcock: The Universal Pictures Collection because that's exactly what it is! Give it a while and i see this coming way down in price.

I'm not entirely sure why you're looking at this set if they're just "old movies".
The value of a film is not determined by its age.

Having said that, I'd have liked it to be cheaper as well, but still, it's not something on my personal shopping list for the time being.

I was originally interested in this...but decided to pass on it, if it would have gone to something like £50 then I probably would have bought it.

I bought it too at that price even though I wanted to spend max £45 for it.
I may return it unopened if I change me mind. Will have a think and reread reviews.

Price will very likely be the same, or slightly cheaper in the January sales.
Here's hoping for £40 - £45 by September 2013!
The opinions above are not my own and I firmly deny having expressed them. I did not write this either.

Errrr, NO.

****ing foolish if you miss out on this.
Foolish to get it now when it will likely be £50 or less in the near future. Foolish to pay full price for this a few weeks ago when it was bound to be reduced a short time later. I'm in no rush for a substandard set.

Why don't you experience the BD's first-hand and then make up your mind?

I'm sure after some of the negative press if you truly don't think the set is up to standard Amazon will let you return it.

Give it a go. I haven't heard one member who actual has the set say how disappointed they are with it's quality apart from a few of the transfers (which I doubt will be improved upon for a long time).
