The art is available at:

I only know because I considered it for my "Goldfinger" cover but it was not an actual poster or of sufficient resolution for a custom cover.

Thanks all for the comments! Maybe I could remove the curve on the bottom line, only keeping the top one...

Working on that, I'll be back! Thanks again!

Yes, but not high enough for normal custom cover art which are usually in the thousands of pixels.

Not busting on you, your custom covers are very impressive and the art (by artist Dock Bobnick) is very nicely done.

My covers are 3118 pixels x 1748 pixels, it's maybe not officially big enough, but here is a screen shot at 100% resolution:
No, you misunderstood what I was talking about. I was referring to the resolution of the original artwork.

Anyone can take a 1200 x 1200 pixel image, import it into a 3000 x 3000 file and artificially it shows as 3000 x 3000. But its still a 1200 x 1200 artwork that was artifically increased in size.

As I said I am not busting on your cover work, I like a lot of what you have done and I applaud many of your choices.

There are a number of sites out there. I've never had any luck using Google. Sites specializing in custom art are a good place to start. Most of my 007 posters came from an auction site that posts images in the thousands x thousands of pixels.

For Your Eyes Only poster for example is 2667 x 4000 pixels
On Her Majesty's Secret Service poster is: 2571 x 3942 pixels

Those are pretty standard sizes.

im sitting over here in Afghanistan, and for the last 3 months of my tour, i would like to start creating some cool custom slips. need something to help pass the evenings when its slow.

i already have photoshop and the template to create them, just want to know how to put them in the 3d pics that you guys are displaying. thanks in advance for your help guys.

I'm sure I'll get to Killer's Kiss/The Killing, Paths of Glory, and Spartacus one day, but here are my eight Kubrick covers...

(Now that school has started again, I don't know how often I'll get to do new ones.)

I use a Photoshop action to make my 3D cover previews. There are some commercial programs out there that cost money, but the Photoshop action I use was free.

I'll try and find it.

This involved quite a bit of manipulation of the original poster which was too thin and wide. As I did with Last Crusade I reformatted the box to make it more square by separateing the top and bottom of the box and then bringing them back together. Then rearranging the inside elements to fit the template box.

I also found a piece of art for the top of Indy's hat which fits seamlessly. If you look at the poster art his hat is cut off.
I love it. I like how Indy sticks out prominently on the cover, so its cool you got the hat reconstructed. You Photoshop gurus never cease to impress me.

DrrnHarr - you are really making it impossible for me to avoid getting more credits over at custommaniacs

So what are the other ones, chopped liver?!

(I'm kidding!! I'm kidding!!)

Thanks for the kind words. They do mean a lot. As I said above, now that school has started up again, I don't know how often I'll be able to do these. Instead, I'll be busy with [sigh] actual homework.

Are these free to print or do they come with some sort of fee? Either way is fine as these are excellent pieces of work!

I only have that IMANDIX Free version and it's small and horrible with a banner...
I'll try and find the actual actn file.

The good thing about customaniacs is you actually earn credits by posting custom covers.

It's 6 credits per cover or 2 credits for a custom label, 1 credit for a piece of artwork.

Of course you have to go through a newbie phase while the mods ensure that you actually are producing quality material.

But once those initial covers are approved, you get the credits and freedom to upload covers without having to get approval.

I'm curious if anyone has any PSD/Action files to make Slipcover or Digibook mockups. I'd really like to play around with designs for that and not just regular case covers.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone is willing to share.

me too!

I do think it has terrific artwork though, which is a shame because it's really not considered part of 007 canon (more as a parody of the book, unfortunate film). Argue all you want, but it's not.

Love the front of the Barry Lyndon cover! And bravo on the Lolita cover I'd be interested to know how you came upon those resources. I give an A + for the spines and the title treatments.

Read on if you wish to see criticism:

[Show spoiler]I think the rest are rather sloppy. Pardon me if you think rude, but your Shining cover is completely unoriginal. Having "The Shining" title break up the "All work and no play..." randomly isn't doing much other than inserting a title whimsically wherever you can place it. I'm not trying to boast (especially since my proposal was never actually published), but try something like this:

This is a proposal I did for the actual digibook release. Find a frame or image from the movie to kind of separate all the text.

Don't care for the Dr. Strangelove cover, especially since the image of Tracy Reed covered up has little to do with the actual film in and of itself. That image just does not cross my mind at all when I think of the film. Sorry, but try something more iconic or perhaps nostalgic.

The Full Metal Jacket front looks like you're just trying a little too hard to be original (which isn't bad) but can come across a little too "busy" sometimes.

The same applies to the Eyes Wide Shut front. I really can't figure out what imagery you're trying to display there. Especially since half of the image in the corner is opaque, but yet you can see the top line where the image ends... I don't know how else to explain it.
