Heh, funny thing is, is that I'm watching the Two Towers right now.

Oh, and for the record, ever since New Line fully became a part of WB, I'm kinda worried how their future BD's will turn out. I mean, arn't WB now sticking to just 25 GB BD's for their future releases? I wonder if this means that if New Line decides to bring out the LOTR Trilogy, that we won't have the sound that we will so want? Just a thought.

IF LOTR comes to Blu next year, it'll likely have TrueHD as Warner has been sticking to that for their big titles (The Dark Knight, etc.)

It'll have the 7.1 DTS-HD MA like all the other New Line movies

There is always so much hype surrounding movies like Lord of the Rings and Star Wars, how could one not want to have these titles on the newest technology? It's like they're coming out for the first time. When LotR goes Blu, I'll definitely be the first in line. LotR was made for HD.

I watched LOTR this past weekend on TBS-HD and it looked outstanding, so the Blu-ray version should be exceptional.

The news is a tad old, however the pre-order and pricing detail is very new.
