Cool Burn Notice Discussion Thread

So Burn Notice Season 3 starts up on Thursday! Yay!

Who elses loves the show?

Here's the Wiki info on Season 3. Says this season will focus more on the past of the three main characters. Hmmmm....

Some nice guest stars including Moon Bloodgood (Terminator Salvation, Journey Man) as a Detective investigating Michael, and in a kinda ironic casting, Michael Weston (the PI that Dr. House hired to spy on Wilson) is starring as a client that hires Michael Westen. I always thought it was funny this guy has the same name as the character on the show, even though they spell their last name's differently.

Anyway here's the info:

Quote:
The third season of the American television comedy spy drama Burn Notice will premiere on June 4, 2009 on the cable television channel USA Network. The cast members who received star billing in the previous two seasons have confirmed to return in season three; Jeffrey Donovan will again reprise the role of Michael Westen, a former spy who tries to find out the reason why he was "burned" (identified as an unreliable or dangerous agent). Gabrielle Anwar will star as his action-obsessed ex-girlfriend Fiona Glenanne and Bruce Campbell will again reprise the role of Sam Axe, Michael's old war buddy. Sharon Gless will return as Michael's hypochondriac mother. Production of the season began early in March 2009; as opposed to its previous seasons, the show's third season will focus more on the past of the main characters. Season three will consist of sixteen episodes; the first episode will be named "Friends and Family", the writers and directors are yet to be announced.

A number of guest appearance have been announced; Ben Shenkman will appear in four episodes as Tom Strickler, a "a smooth-talking, gregarious freelance spy broker", who will offer to unburn Michael in exchange for his help with a potentially lethal job. Moon Bloodgood will appear in a number of episodes as Michelle Paxon, a police detective who investigates Michael, and becomes obsessed with finding out the truth about him and his past. Jennifer Esposito was previously cast in the role of Paxton, but had to drop out due to health reasons. Actor Michael Weston, who shares the same name as the main character (only his last name is spelled with an O instead of an E), has been confirmed to appear in one episodes as a delusional MIT graduate, who needs Michael to protect him from, what he thinks are, aliens who plan to sell the names of undercover spies.
The Three Guest Stars named so far...

Moon Bloodgood *yummy*

Ben Shenkman

Michael Weston *very funny guy*

Im totally "psyched" for this show. Burn Notice and Psych are my 2 favorite shows on USA network.

Im a Sam fan mostly though. Fiona would get her butt handed to her in a real fight. Anwar is a walking stick, kinda gross.

I am so looking forward to this. Gotta love having Michael Weston as a guest star on a show where the main character is named Michael Westen. This is definitely one of the best shows on TV
If I go missing for a time, fear not, I am traveling with The Doctor. The 11th Doctor, Matt Smith.

Be sure to pack some protein in the fridge for Fi; that chick needs some meat on her bones in the worst way! (although I still love her and the show)

Anyone see last week's episode starring Michael Weston? He was so funny in that.

The line of the show was "oh and bring some backup because that b*tch is an alien!" ha ha ha ha ha

I saw it. It was a pretty funny episode. Michael Weston was good even if he was bordering on the annoying once or twice. It was the other character's reactions to his craziness that made it great. I'm really liking this season so far.

Am i the only one who thinks this show is repetitive and predicable? I mean i've seen both seasons and i think the cast is great. But the storyline follows the same formula every weeks. Someone ( friend, family, boss,...) is always in trouble and hires micheal for jobs. You get the idea if you watch the show. I don't feel any sense of tension nor danger at all. So i deleted the new season from my DVR after 3 episodes.

Anybody else feel the same????????

Really enjoyed tonight's episode. I'm glad that it's back on. Surprised that this thread has been so dead all season though. I actually kinda forgot about the thread because of that.

AWESOME FINALE!!!!! It went by way too quick though.

Cool to see Garrett Dillahunt aka THE MUTHATRUCKIN' MAN in this. I just started grinning when he poked his head out from behind that door.

Too bad his wife wasn't along for the ride. :-)
